Wadi Hassan Wastewater Treatment Plant

Location : Irbid, Jordan
Employer : Water Authority Jordan
Description of Work : The project involved the construction of a Wastewater Treatment Plant, a Pumping Station, and a 45 km Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP) force main connecting the Pumping Station to the main treatment facility. The civil works primarily included water-retaining structures, such as circular and rectangular reinforced concrete tanks, as well as industrial buildings, roadworks, landscaping, and other external works.

Located approximately 4 km east of An-Nu’ayyima, the Sewage Treatment Plant serves the Greater Irbid Area, with a treatment capacity of 1,600 m³/day. The treatment process consists of preliminary treatment followed by biological treatment using extended aeration, ensuring effective wastewater management and environmental sustainability.

National Broadband Networks

Location : Amman, Middle, and Northern Regions / Jordan
Employer : Jordan Telecommunications Company
Description of Work : The project involved the installation and pulling of optical fiber cables over a total distance of 195 km, utilizing both duct cable and direct buried cable types. The fiber optic network included 6F cables spanning 88 km and 12F cables covering 107 km, with 105 km of duct cable and 90 km of direct buried cable to ensure optimal connectivity and network expansion.

In addition to cable installation, the project encompassed the installation of essential optical fiber accessories, including indoor cables, joints, and Optical Distribution Frames (ODFs), ensuring seamless integration and network reliability.

The scope of work also included extensive civil works, such as trenching, backfilling, and reinstatement over 90 km, along with the construction of manholes and handholes to facilitate maintenance and long-term network stability.

Azmi Al Mufti Sewage Pumping Station

Location : Irbid, Jordan
Employer : Water Authority Jordan
Description of Work : The project involved the construction of the Azmi Mufti Sewage Pumping Station and its associated ductile iron (DI) force main, along with comprehensive electro-mechanical installations, civil works, and infrastructure development.

The scope included the construction of a reinforced concrete (R.C.) storage tank with a 500 m³ capacity, as well as the installation of instrumentation systems, control panels, a standby generator set, stainless steel pipework, ventilation systems, and two centrifugal horizontal pumps, each with a 252 m³/hr capacity and a total head of 80 meters.

A 4.5 km force main using ductile iron (DI) pressure pipes was installed, connecting the pumping station to the existing Wadi Hassan Pumping Station. The works included the construction of cast-in-situ chambers and facilities for air release and washouts, ensuring a reliable and efficient wastewater transmission system.

Additionally, an operation building was constructed, housing process control panels, a standby generator, and all other required electro-mechanical and civil components.

The project also encompassed 1.25 km of access roads, yards, car parks, footpaths, retaining walls, fencing, and external pipeworks for water and sewage systems. A stormwater drainage system, complete with manholes and external works, was also implemented to support site sustainability and infrastructure resilience.

Wadi Abu Burqa Dam

Location : Aqaba, Jordan

Description of Work : The project is located in the Wadi Araba area, south of the Dead Sea, and encompasses the construction of a dam along with its associated structures and facilities. The scope includes the development of a pervious embankment with a reinforced concrete crust and protective lining, ensuring structural stability and water retention efficiency.

Key works include the construction of deep cut-off walls, a flip bucket for energy dissipation, and draw-off works incorporating steel pipelines and valve chambers for controlled water discharge. Additionally, a performance monitoring instrumentation system was installed to ensure long-term functionality and structural integrity.

Beyond the dam infrastructure, the project also involved ground investigations, extensive grouting works, and the establishment of an agricultural farm. This included the construction of an administration building, steel-structured barns for sheep and camels, as well as supporting infrastructure such as roads, sidewalks, and an advanced irrigation system. The comprehensive scope of work ensures effective water management, agricultural sustainability, and regional development.

Construction & Rehabilitation of Aqaba Water Facilities

Location : Aqaba, Jordan

Description of Work : The project involved the construction of five reinforced concrete water reservoirs, each with a capacity of up to 5,000 m³, designed as water-tight structures to ensure durability and prevent leakage. The reservoirs were engineered to support efficient water storage and distribution, meeting high structural and operational standards.

The scope of work included all related mechanical installations, such as inlet and outlet piping systems, flow control valves, and pressure regulation mechanisms to ensure optimal water flow management. Additionally, provisions for access platforms, internal coatings, and external protection systems were incorporated to enhance structural integrity and long-term performance.
